Born in Tianjin in March 1948, Mr. Li Jianmin is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and got the professional title of senior engineer. In December 1968, he graduated from Beijing Hydraulic and Hydro-Electric School , majoring in power equipment. In February 1982, he graduated from Henan TV University, majoring in machinery. In 2000, he graduated from Party school of central committee majoring in economics & management. From August 1989 to the same month of 1990, he participated in the higher training class for modern enterprisers held by the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences . From July 1993 to December 1993, he participated in the training class for foreign trade management held by Nankai University . From December 1968 to June 1996, he worked at Zhengzhou Hydraulic machinery Factory. During that period, he successively held the director of workshop, chief of the administrative office, vice factory director, and the committee member of CPC. From July 1991 to September 1992, he was the vice warden of Guancheng district of Zhengzhou city. From June 1996 to September 2000, he was the deputy director with Mechanical and Electricial Department of Mechanical Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources. In April 1997, he hold the position of the vice general manager of JME. From September 2000 to November 2003, he was the general manager of JME. From April 2002 on, he is the board chairman (corporate representative) of JME.
